Aghni Gold is an old-gold buying business. We buy old and used gold jewellery directly from customers after assessment and valuation. Once the customer agrees to the applicable valuation and completes the required verification and documentation, Aghni Gold provides payment for the gold.

Our business is based on buying physical gold jewellery from customers. Aghni Gold is not a bank, lender, loan provider, investment company, insurance company, pawn shop, banking service provider, gold-loan provider, gold savings scheme, digital gold investment platform or financial investment service. Customers do not deposit money with Aghni Gold for investment purposes. Aghni Gold does not provide investment returns, interest or loans.

• Step 2 – Assessment: The jewellery is assessed for relevant characteristics including purity and weight.
• Step 3 – Valuation: The value is calculated based on the applicable rates, purity, weight and other relevant valuation factors.
• Step 4 – Customer Confirmation: The valuation is communicated to the customer. The customer is free to accept or decline the valuation.
• Step 5 – Transaction Completion: If the customer agrees to proceed, the required identity, ownership and other applicable verification formalities are completed.
• Step 6 – Payment: After completion of the required formalities, Aghni Gold provides payment to the customer for the gold.

Aghni Gold aims to provide a clear and transparent valuation process. The valuation may take into account:

The applicable amount is communicated to the customer before the transaction is completed.

If the customer accepts the valuation and completes the required formalities, the transaction proceeds according to these Terms & Conditions.

Aghni Gold provides payment after:

• Completion of valuation
• Customer confirmation
• Completion of applicable identity verification
• Completion of ownership verification
• Completion of required documentation and transaction formalities

Where advertised as instant or immediate payment, this means that payment is intended to be made promptly after completion of the applicable valuation and transaction requirements.

Payment is subject to applicable laws, statutory requirements, verification procedures and legally permitted payment methods. Where cash payment is legally permitted, cash may be provided subject to applicable statutory limits.

Aghni Gold provides free doorstep gold valuation where available. Customers may request a doorstep appointment for assessment of eligible old and used gold jewellery.

The customer or rightful owner should be present during the valuation and should provide the required identification and ownership information.

Doorstep valuation does not require the customer to proceed with selling their jewellery.

Aghni Gold may reschedule or cancel a doorstep visit where the location or circumstances are considered unsafe or where required verification cannot be completed.

Customers must have the legal right and authority to sell the gold jewellery presented to Aghni Gold.

Customers must provide truthful and accurate information regarding the ownership and origin of their jewellery.

Aghni Gold may request appropriate identification, ownership documentation or other information where required.

Aghni Gold may decline a transaction if satisfactory ownership cannot be established.

If gold jewellery has previously been pledged with a bank, financial institution, NBFC or another party, the customer must have the legal right and authority to release and sell the jewellery.

Aghni Gold does not provide gold loans, loans against gold, financing or credit facilities. Aghni Gold does not provide money to customers for the purpose of taking or maintaining a gold loan.

Where pledged jewellery has already been lawfully released and the customer has the right and authority to sell it, Aghni Gold may assess the jewellery in accordance with its normal old-gold buying process.

Any required release documents or proof of authority may be requested before the transaction is completed.

Aghni Gold may request government-issued identification and other documentation required for customer and transaction verification. Depending on the transaction and applicable requirements, customers may be asked to provide:

• Government-issued identity proof
• Address information
• PAN details where applicable
• Ownership documentation
• Other information required for verification

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the information and documents provided are genuine, accurate and current.

Aghni Gold may retain transaction and verification records as required by applicable law and its Privacy Policy.

Before completing a transaction, customers may be required to confirm that:

• They have the legal right to sell the jewellery.
• The jewellery has not been obtained unlawfully.
• The information provided to Aghni Gold is true and accurate.
• The identification and documents provided belong to the customer and are genuine.
• There are no undisclosed ownership disputes relating to the jewellery.

Aghni Gold strictly does NOT buy stolen, counterfeit, duplicate, or spurious gold, silver, diamonds, or other valuables.

Selling stolen or fake gold is a criminal offense, and if identified, the person and the ornaments will be handed over to the police.

Any individual attempting to sell fraudulent items will be immediately reported to the Chennai Police, and the ornaments will be surrendered for official criminal investigation.

Aghni Gold maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward stolen, fake, counterfeit, duplicate or spurious jewellery. If Aghni Gold identifies or reasonably suspects that jewellery is stolen, fake, counterfeit, duplicate, spurious or unlawfully obtained, the transaction may be immediately stopped and the matter may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Aghni Gold does not buy stolen or broken gold.

Customers should contact Aghni Gold regarding eligible old and used gold jewellery for assessment.

The acceptance of any item is subject to assessment, verification and Aghni Gold's applicable buying criteria.

Anyone aged 21 or younger can only sell gold with a parent or guardian's written letter.

Aghni Gold may require the parent or guardian to provide appropriate identification and supporting documentation.

Aghni Gold may decline a transaction if the required authorization or documentation is not provided.

Aghni Gold reserves the right to decline, pause or stop a valuation or transaction where:

• The customer cannot establish lawful ownership.
• Required identification is not provided.
• Required documentation is unavailable.
• The authenticity of the jewellery cannot be satisfactorily established.
• There is a concern that the jewellery may be stolen, fake, counterfeit, duplicate or spurious.
• Information provided by the customer is inconsistent or appears inaccurate.
• Required verification cannot be completed.
• The transaction may violate applicable law or regulatory requirements.
• The circumstances present a safety or security concern.

All jewellery is subject to assessment and verification.

Aghni Gold does not buy fake, counterfeit, duplicate or spurious gold.

If an item is identified as fraudulent or suspected to be unlawfully obtained, Aghni Gold may stop the transaction and take appropriate action.

Applicable gold rates may change continuously.

The valuation provided to a customer applies to the applicable transaction and valuation conditions at that time.

Aghni Gold is not responsible for changes in rates occurring before or after a transaction has been completed.

Any payment made by Aghni Gold to a customer is payment for gold jewellery provided by that customer. The payment is not:

• A loan
• A gold loan
• Credit
• Financing
• Interest
• An investment return
• A dividend
• A deposit withdrawal
• Financial investment proceeds

Aghni Gold does not accept customer funds for investment purposes.
